Books Over TV

As I've stated earlier I was having trouble with the slow pacing of the book. I mean nothing really happened until I passed the hallway point. I trudged through this book for numerous days wondering why I just couldn't get through it. It's just over 240 pages. 

There were some strange happenings. Then came the arrival of Mrs. Montague (the Docs wife) and her sidekick Arthur. There were occassional mean bantering between Eleanor and Theodora and some snappiness from Mrs. Montague. However, all in all I found the book to be rather dull and boring. This is my third Shirley Jackson read. I just don't think we're a good fit.

**It's hard to believe a movie was made from this book. I must see it.
